Building a divergence checklist you will actually use mid-trade
A short printable sequence covering swing quality, oscillator type, confluence, and invalidation.
A checklist only helps if you can run it while the candle is still forming. Ours fits on one side of A5 and covers four gates: swing quality, divergence type, confirmation, and invalidation.
Swing quality asks whether both pivots are structural. Divergence type forces a regular-versus-hidden label. Confirmation looks at MACD histogram slope or a second timeframe agreement. Invalidation names the price level that cancels the idea.
Participants in our masterclass practise the list aloud on live charts. The awkwardness of speaking the gates is intentional — it slows the hand that wants to enter on the first RSI mismatch.
Print it. Keep it beside the keyboard. If a setup fails a gate, there is no bonus for forcing the trade. That is the entire point of structured divergence work with RSI and MACD.
